Amy

Amy received her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family services from Michigan State University in 2000. She then worked at Children’s Hospital of Michigan providing non-pharmacological pain management strategies for children. Amy started to research other modalities that she could use in her work and was immediately drawn to massage therapy. In 2004 she graduated from the Michigan School of Myomassology in Berkley, Michigan. Her areas of concentration include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, prenatal massage, reiki, myofascial release, hot stone massage, aromatherapy, and cranial sacral therapy. Amy became certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork in 2005. She is very excited about being a part of the team at Essential Massage Therapy and working with therapists and clients who share the same goals that she does.

In her spare time Amy enjoys biking, reading, canoeing, and traveling the world. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her friends, her family, and Paddington, the greatest pooch in the world.
